We hope this will be a place to read, pray and discuss scripture throughout the year. So many of us have started reading plans each year. Yet at some point we falter in our reading, get behind and then we give up. It's not intentional, it's just life. Because we know that reading scripture is essential to a robust, vibrant faith. It's the very means by which we gain wisdom and hear directly from God.

How we read Scripture.
Reading Together Contemplatively
Before we ever pick up the Word of God we must pray. Prayer is essential to steadfastness and endurance when it comes to reading God's Word. So we pray first and read second!
Reading Together Communally
Meaning Scripture was never meant to be read alone. It started as a communal experience in the Ancient Church as well as in the Early Church. It should be the same with us.
Reading Together Conversationally
Without conversation around Scripture, we are left to try and rightly divide the word on our own. Talking about Scripture, with others, in our day-to-day lives, challenges and grows us in incredibly profound ways.
Reading Together Chronologically
Most books are read in the narrative order to which things occur. We believe the Bible should be read the same exact way! We believe that "context determines meaning." So reading the Bible in context helps us to understand God's word better!
